James "Redbird" Edwards

Warrenton, GA. – Mr. James Robert "Redbird" Edwards, 68, entered into rest January 21, 2018.

Mr. Edwards was born in Washington Georgia, the son of the late Robert Edwards and the late Annie Bell Edwards.  He was a self-employed painter, loved fishing, cooking, and spending time with his children and grandchildren.  Mr. Edwards was a member of Pine Grove Baptist Church.  In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by sons, Tommy Cope and Steven Cope.

Survivors include his wife, Patsy Edwards; daughter, Michelle Edwards (Hank); son, Milt Cope of Oklahoma; sister, Pearl Blackburn Whitman of Thomson, GA; grandchildren, Chase and Sarah Vance, Wyatt Vaughn, and Steven, Tyler, and Caitlin Cope and nephew, Lee Blackburn.

Memorial services will be held at 4:00 p.m., Thursday, January 25, 2018 in the Beggs Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Bryant Neal officiating.

Friends may visit the residence of Patsy and Michelle Edwards, 3114 Hwy 80, Warrenton (Camak), GA.
