James Roger Edmond passed away peacefully on March 14, 2025, in Augusta, GA. Born on December 22, 1965, in Ashland, Kentucky to the late Homer and Nancy Edmond, James was a man of great humor, boundless love, and remarkable courage. His life was a testament to the strength of the human spirit in the face of adversity.
Before his life took a turn following a car accident that left him disabled, James was one of the best at laying carpet and floor covering. Despite the challenges he faced, James never lost his zest for life and continued to find joy in the simple pleasures that filled his days. An avid outdoorsman, James relished the times he spent in nature, whether he was casting a line near his home at the lake or tracking game through the quiet woods. His love for fishing and hunting was only matched by his passion for old westerns. Many afternoons were spent in the company of his favorite TV shows, "Bonanza" and "Gunsmoke," which brought him great comfort and entertainment.
He is survived by his brother Christopher Edmond and wife Ticie, and his sister Karininia Haas and husband Doug. His daughter, Emily Edmond Wike, and her husband, Jordan, were the lights of his life, and he took immense pride in their accomplishments and the beautiful family they built together. His brother William preceded him in death. James's sense of humor was infectious, and he had a unique ability to light up a room with his jokes and laughter. He was a loving presence in the lives of all who knew him, offering a kind word, a listening ear, and a shoulder to lean on. His courage in the face of life's challenges inspired those around him, and his legacy of resilience and love will continue to live on in the hearts of his family and friends.
