James Marshall Castle
Thomson, Georgia- Mr. James Marshall Castle, 85, of Salem Rd., entered into rest December 22, 2015.
Mr. Castle was born in Thealka, KY and was the son of the late Bernard Marshall Castle and the late Adeline Robinson Castle. He served in the U. S. Army during the Korean Conflict and during Vietnam and retired after 21 years of service. Mr. Castle also retired as an insurance salesman. He lived in Thomson for many years and was a Mason and Shriner. In addition to his parents, Mr. Castle was predeceased by his wife, Mary Frances Castle, brother, George Bernard Castle and sister, Anna Ruth Salmeron.
Survivors include his daughters, Cynthia Castle Copeland (Joe), Marjorie Castle Coleman (Max), and Margret Castle Echols (Matt); and grandchildren, Austin Lee Coleman, Katherine Lauren Coleman, Mary Chandler Echols, and Charles Marshall Echols.
Funeral services will be held at 2 o'clock p.m., Saturday, December 26 th in the chapel of Beggs Funeral Home with Rev. Paul Perkins officiating. Interment will follow in the Sweetwater Baptist Church Cemetery with full military honors.
The family will receive friends from 12:30 until 2 p.m., Saturday prior to the service at the funeral home.
