Washington, GA - Mr. James Turner Bryson, Jr., 68, of Barksdale Drive entered into rest February 1, 2016.

Mr. Bryson was a native of Washington, GA and the son of the late James Turner Bryson, Sr. and the late Josephine Reynolds Bryson. He worked with Lannae Construction for many years and retired as the Historian at Magnolia Plantation in Charleston, SC. Mr. Bryson was a member of First United Methodist Church, Washington, GA.

Survivors include his beloved wife of 45 years, Terry Lovelace Bryson; sons, James Turner Bryson, III  (Kristina) of Lafayette Hills, PA, Thomas Lovelace Bryson (Whitney) of North Augusta, SC; granddaughters, Aubrey E. Bryson and Elsie L. Bryson; and sister, Mackie Bryson Combs (Doug) of Appling, GA.

Graveside services will be held at 11 o'clock a.m., Friday, February 5 th at Resthaven Cemetery, Washington, GA with the Reverend Loree Reed officiating. The family will receive friends immediately following the graveside service at The Episcopal Church of the Mediator, 212 East Robert Toombs Ave. Washington , GA .

The Bryson's would like to express their grateful appreciation to Dr. Kelli Carter, Dr. Carmel Joseph, Dr. David Squires and Chris Rud, RN with Southeast Hospice for the exceptional care given during Mr. Bryson's illness.
