James Edward Aycock

Mr. Aycock, son of the late Boyd M. and Lucy Martin Aycock, was a lifelong resident of Lincoln County. He was a U.S. Army veteran of WWII and was a retired logger/sawmiller. Mr Aycock was a member and Deacon of Lincolnton Baptist Church, a 32nd degree Scottish Rite Mason, member of the Yaarab Shrine Temple, and former Worshipful Master of the Lincolnton Masonic Lodge F&AM #354. Recently, he had received a pin and apron for fifty years of masonic service. Survivors: Wife: Barbara "Bobbie" Wright Aycock Son: Alex Aycock, Lincolnton Daughters: Cindy A. Chastain, and husband, Charles, and Faith A. Hill, and husband, Mark all of Lincolnton Sister: Lydia A. Jones, Lincolnton Grandchildren: Jameson Chastain, Chad Aycock, Lex Aycock, Elizabeth Aycock, Amanda Hill and Barbara Hill Great- grandchildren: Travis Gunn, C.J. Aycock, Adam Chastain, Ali Aycock and Lexi Aycock He was preceded in death by brothers, Boyd M. Aycock, Barney A. Aycock, Sr. and a sister, Vivian A. Reed.
