Eddie Myers

Jack Edmond “Eddie” Myers, 61 died early Tuesday, April 14, 2026 from injuries sustained in a motorcycle accident in Lincoln County, Georgia. Son of the late Ray and Linda Myers, he was born on July 8, 1964, in Washington, Georgia.

He grew up in Lincoln County and was a proud graduate of LCHS class of 1982. Eddie possessed an exceptional talent for repairing and restoring. His expertise ranged widely—adept at everything from roofing and tiling to electrical and plumbing work. His ability to fix virtually anything was a testament to his resourcefulness and steady hands.

Eddie’s passions extended beyond his craft. He was a true motor enthusiast with a particular fondness for classic cars, motorcycles and any vehicle powered by an engine. This love of machines was complemented by his appreciation for country music, finding joy in the sounds of legends like Waylon Jennings, Conway Twitty, and George Jones. Music often filled the air during moments shared with his cherished family.

An avid cook, Eddie delighted in preparing meals for his loved ones, especially enjoying the art of grilling and perfecting his renowned BBQ sauce and salsa—flavors that will carry on in warm memory by those who had the pleasure to savor them. Central to Eddie’s life was his deep affection for his family; he found his greatest happiness in their company.

Eddie is survived by his wife, Colleen McCune Myers; his sons, Richard Myers of Aiken, South Carolina, and John Myers of Pennsylvania; his daughters, Angela Roberts of California and Ashley Lawrence of Louisville, Georgia; his grandchildren, Jaydyn, Damon, Logan, Hank, Richard Jr., Charlie "Baby CJ," and Jackson. He was preceded in death by his brother, Joel Myers, and sister, Linda Thornton.

The family will be holding a celebration of life in the near future.
