Jewell, GA-Mrs. Irene Foster Jackson, 96, of Hamburg Rd. entered into rest April 6, 2016.

Mrs. Jackson was a native of Hancock County, GA and the daughter of the late William Ernest Foster and the late Annie Kate Dermody Foster. She was the retired co-owner of Jackson Shoe Shop in Sparta. Mrs. Jackson was a member of Culverton Baptist Church. She was predeceased by her husband, Lowell C. Jackson and grandson Lowell Wayne Mitchell.

Survivors include her daughters, Jessie Mitchell of Jewell, GA and June J. Arnold of Lexington, GA; 5 grandchildren; 7 great grandchildren and 6 great great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

Graveside services will be held at 11 o'clock a.m., Friday, April 8, 2016 at the Culverton Baptist Church Cemetery in Hancock County with Rev. Brian Hill officiating.
