Imogene Brassell Gunn Thomson, GA- Mrs. Imogene Brassell Gunn, 83, of Cobbham Rd. entered into rest April 5, 2012. She was the beloved wife of the late Lewis Pilcher Gunn, Jr. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM, Monday, April 9, 2012 at the Beggs Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Robert Adams officiating. Interment will follow in Savannah Valley Memorial Gardens. Pallbearers will be grandsons. Mrs. Gunn was born in Glascock County, Georgia and lived in McDuffie County most of her life. She was the daughter of the late Samuel David Brassell and the late Willie Mae Kent Brassell. Mrs. Gunn was retired as Ward Clerk from the McDuffie County Hospital with over 25 years of service. She was a member of Calvary Baptist Church. Survivors include her sons, Carlton Lewis Gunn and wife, Jeanette, Edwin James Gunn and wife, Martha, Timothy David Gunn and wife, Eunita all of Dearing; daughters, Donna Gunn Spann and husband, Robert, Sandra Gunn Linker and husband, Steve all of Thomson, Roxanne Gunn Bentley and husband, Robert of Evans; brother, William Kitchens and wife, Virginia of Waynesboro; sisters, Lois Adams of Thomson, Margaret Usry of Gibson, Patricia Donely of Florida; 14 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren. The family would like to express their appreciation to Trinity Hospice, especially Sandra Lewis for the loving and professional care provided to Mrs. Gunn. Friends may call at the residence of Sandra and Steve Linker 1924 Cobbham Rd., Thomson, Georgia or from 4 until 6 PM, Sunday, April 8, 2012 at the funeral home.
