Hugh Allen Ferguson

Mr. Hugh Allen Ferguson, 84 of Ferguson- Justice Rd., entered into rest on Thursday, June 11, 2015 at his residence. Graveside services will be held on Saturday, June 13 at 11 a.m. at Pierce's Chapel United Methodist Church, 185 Holliday Park Rd., Washington, Ga.  with Rev. Virginia Best officiating. Mr. Ferguson, son of the late Walter L. and Mary Etta Hammond Ferguson,  was a lifelong resident of Lincoln County,  had served in the US Air Force during the Korean Conflict,  and worked as a game warden, and deputy sheriff.  He was a member of St. Paul United Methodist Church. He was preceded in death by his wife, Helen Neville Ferguson, step-son, Tommy Edmunds and siblings, Evelyn F. Smalley, Hammond Ferguson, Alex Ferguson, Sr., and Pierce Jackson Ferguson. Survivors: Daughter-in-law: Mary Grace Brooks and husband, Tim of Lincolnton Grandchildren: Emily Vincenza Edmunds, Nick Thomas Edmunds, and Megan Grace Edmunds Great- grandson: Thomas Jarrod Edmunds, Lincolnton Sister: Mrs. Margaret F. McDowell, Lincolnton Brother: Walter Lee Ferguson, Jr.,  Marietta Many nieces and nephews The family will receive friends  on Friday evening from 6pm-8pm at the funeral home.
