Mr. Howard M."Buddy" McKellar, 67 of Welcome Church Rd., entered into rest on July 4th at the residence of his daughter in Calhoun Falls, S.C.

Mr. McKellar, a native of Lincoln County, had lived in Calhoun Falls and Elberton and was a retired building contractor. He was currently working as a security guard. His parents, Coleman Grove and Mary Burns  McKellar, brother, Carlton "Smokey" Dornberg and grandchild, Tiffany Bonds, preceded him in death.

Jeffery McKellar and wife, Regina of Elberton

Robert J. McKellar and Kathy Lowndesville, SC

Daughters:

Belinda "Missy" Blackmon of Elberton

Lafayette M. Elgin and husband, Aaron of Calhoun Falls

Brothers:

Coleman McKellar, Jr., William "Billy" McKellar, Earl "Bo Pete" McKellar, all of Lincolnton and Claude McKellar, Washington

Sisters:

Marynell Quarles, Thomson

Joann Corley, Appling

Brenda Bessinger, Lincolnton

Linda Parks, Lincolnton

Lou McKellar, Lincolnton

9 Grandchildren

5 Great- grandchildren

Many others that referred to him as "Papa Buddy".

Funeral services will be held on Monday, July 8th at 3 p.m. at Jones Chapel with Revs. Wayne Tyler and Terry Bonds officiating.

Interment will follow at New Hope Baptist Church Cemetery.
