Mr. Turner, son of the late H.J. and Effie Murrel Turner was a native of Charleston, a U.S. Navy veteran of WWII, and had retired from Savannah River Site. He had lived in the Augusta area most of his life and was a member of Crestview Baptist Church. Mr. Turner's daughter-in-law, Michelle, preceded him in death.
Jim was a hard working man who loved God, his family and his fellow man. He dedicated his life to his family and enjoyed his grandchildren. His strong work ethic was passed on to his children. Proof of that can be seen in the way that his children and grandchildren have lived their lives.
