MR. HENRY GRADY POUNDS 92 of Hillcrest Drive, Thomson, GA entered into rest August 13, 2009. He was the beloved husband of Reba Brown Pounds and the late Lucille Moats Pounds.
Graveside services will be held at 11:00 AM, Saturday, August 15, 2009 at Savannah Valley Memorial Gardens with Rev. Elton Lawson officiating.
Mr. Pounds was a native of McDuffie County, Georgia. He served in the U. S. Army during WWII and was retired as a salesperson from Culpepper Lumber Company. Mr. Pounds was also a member of Pine Grove Baptist Church.
Survivors include his wife Reba Brown Pounds of Thomson, GA; Stepdaughters: Beth Perdue of Thomson, GA, Joan Neal of Thomson, GA and Pam Partridge of Martinez, GA; Stepson, Kenny Baggett of Thomson, GA; sister, Charlotte McManus, Florida; several grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren.
Memorials may be made to Riverview Methodist Church, 1244 Fury's Ferry Road, Evans, GA, 30809. The family will receive friends from 7 until 9 PM Friday at the funeral home.
