Henry Frank Elam

Henry "Frank" Elam entered into rest on Saturday, November 3, at 990 Fire Tower Road, Lincolnton.  He was born July 23, 1956 to the late Mrs. Eula Mae Clark and the late Mr. Roy Turman in Lincolnton, Georgia.

Frank was educated in the Lincoln County Public School system, graduating in the Class of 1975 from Lincoln County High School. At an early age, he joined the Harmony Baptist Church and was baptized under the leadership of late Rev. Broadnax. As a young teenager, he began working with his father at Spratlin Hardware & Building Supply.  And was then that he realized that he had a love for working with wood to create things. His first creation was his very own pool table at the age of 14 from plywood, marbles, and broken stick brooms.  He could repair, remodel, and build.  Ultimately, he became an entrepreneur and is well-known for his handi-man work throughout Lincolnton and surrounding counties. For the almost 20 years, he has partnered with Sylvester Wright.  That partnership grew into friendship. Eventually they were no longer partners, but brothers working together.

He leaves to carry on his legacy, one daughter, Penny Wells, Greenville, SC; two brothers Charles Davis and Lonzo Elam, both of Augusta, GA;  one grandson, Tony Wells, Atlanta, GA , one great-granddaughter, McKinley Wells, Atlanta, GA,  three nieces, Angela Davis and Gwannettia King, both of Macon Georgia, and  Ameriah Elam, Augusta, two nephews; Jordan Elam and Jerry Wade, both of Augusta, four great nieces, Asmine Ealey, Atlanta, GA; Angelize King, Barine Naadubon, all of Macon Georgia, and Morgan Key, Augusta, GA  three great nephews,  Jalen Wade and Reginald Carter, and Devin James, all of Augusta, GA  many cousins, other relatives, friends, and acquaintances.
