Henry S. Burch, Sr.

Mr. Henry S. Burch, Sr., 94 of Mayson Dr. entered into rest on Thursday, September 1 ^st, at McCormick Health and Rehab Center.

Funeral services will be held Sunday, September 4 ^th at 2 p.m. at McCormick United Methodist Church. Interment will follow in the Lincolnton City Cemetery. The family will receive friends beginning at 1 pm until the hour of the funeral on Sunday in the church fellowship hall.

Mr. Burch, a native of Lincoln County, graduated from Lincolnton High School, attended Georgia Military College and later received a Bachelor's degree in economics from Presbyterian College. He served in the US Army during WWII in the Infantry of the 3 ^rd Army in the European Theater . He was a recipient of the  Purple Heart.

Following WWII, he worked for Bell Aircraft in Marietta and in 1947,he went to work with  Sherwin Williams, Southeast  Thirty eight years later, he  retired as inventory control manager in 1985

.  In 1987, he moved to McCormick, SC and was a member of McCormick United Methodist Church.

His wife, Mary Remsen Burch and daughter, Mary Elizabeth Condrey, preceded him in death.

Grandchildren: Christine Castle, Eric Burch, Brian Burch, Nicholas Condrey, and Karen Harris
