Helen W. Ramsey

Helen W. Ramsey, 94, passed away Sunday, November 29, 2020 in her home surrounded by family.

Helen was a loving wife to the late Richard E. Ramsey Sr., mother to her two children, amazing mother-in-law and best nana to her three grandchildren.

Mrs. Ramsey worked as manager's secretary at Sears for 30 years, she then retired and took care of her grandchildren. Helen was a dedicated member of Sharon Baptist Church and a call girl for her Sunday School Class. She had the most positive attitude, always finding the best in any situation. Mrs. Ramsey was always busy doing for others. She truly led by example.  Mrs. Ramsey was a precious lady that even in sickness until she could speak no more sang "Hallelujah, Thine the Glory".

Survivors include a son, Dicky Ramsey (Kay); a daughter, Renee Carlton (Bill); three grandchildren, Tara Johnson (Randy), Ashlyne Ramsey and Taylor Ramsey (Anna); and two great grandchildren, Martha Anne Johnson and Brody Ramsey.

A graveside service will be held at 2 p.m., Thursday, December 3, 2020 at Westover Memorial Park with Pastor Andy Collins officiating.

The family would like to thank Jessica Caster, Valan Caster and Lucille Beard for their help and love as caregivers.

It is the family's desire that in addition to floral offerings, memorial contributions may be made to Sharon Baptist Church.

Per CDC requirements the family will be observing social distancing. Masks are required and appreciated. Due to the current national health concern, the family would appreciate all phone calls, cards, texts, and e-mails.
