HELEN PHILLIPS RETIRED CIVIL SERVICE MRS. HELEN WELCH PHILLIPS 74 of Church St. Dearing, GA entered into rest January 25, 2008 at the University Hospital. She was the beloved wife of the late Howard Phillips. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, January 30, 2008 at 2:00 PM at the Beggs funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Mike Timmerman officiating. Pallbearers will be: Kenneth Welch, Sonny Welch, Jeff Welch, Jimmy Hunt, Billy Neal, Billy Neal, Jr. Mrs. Phillips was a lifelong resident of McDuffie County, GA and was the daughter of the late Jim Earl Welch and the late Elizabeth Inglett Welch She was retired as a clerical worker from Signal Towers at Ft. Gordon with over 30 years of service. Mrs. Phillips also worked at Wal-Mart in Thomson for 9 years as a door greeter. She was also member of Dearing Baptist Church.
