Helen Elizabeth Epps

Helen Elizabeth Jones Epps 6/28/39 to 7/16/15 Helen was born June 28, 1939 in Coffee County Georgia to Julia Thompson Jones English and Paul Allen Jones. She Graduated from Richmond Academy then attended Massey Business College in Atlanta Helen's first loves were her children and grandchildren.  She was a giving a loving mother and grandmother.  One her greatest pleasures were traveling with family and friends to the Bahamas and Florida Keys.  The water and vistas of the coast brought her much joy and peace.  Later in life she enjoyed the cool air of the mountains of North Carolina and a nice evening of gaming. Helen had a gift for music and this played out on the keys of her piano.  There was many an evening of rousing sing alongs with friends around her beloved baby grand. During her career, God used Helen to reach out to others.  CSRA Health Service, the business she and her partner began in 1983, provided care in residential settings to those unable to live safely at home any longer.  Her keen accounting sense was a critical part of their success.  This business of caring has grown into a service touching the lives of Georgians all over the state.  Most would agree that it was her crowning glory to be able to provide comfort to those in their sunset years in a safe, caring and loving environment. Helen is survived by her children Sean and Daran Epps, her dear grandchildren Haley and Casey Epps, Taylor Epps and Zakk Epps. She is survived by her sisters Fran Threlkeld of Warner Robins and Nancy Sammons of Savannah.  She was predeceased by her loving sister Louise at the age of 33.  She also left behind her four legged babies, Teddy and Missy who were constant comfort to her. The family would like to thank all the wonderful caregivers who took such great care in her final years; particularly those with ResCare HomeCare and Family Care of Thomson.  There are too many to name but two that were especially close to Helen through the years were Evelyn Mathis and Mattie McCord. At the family's request, any remembrances in her memory should be to McDuffie County Animal Shelter 802 White Oak Rd Thomson, GA 30824 Phone: (706) 595-0463 Visitation at 2 p.m. on Saturday, July 18, 2015 at Beggs Funeral Home, Thomson GA Funeral at 3 p.m. on Saturday, July 18, 2015 at Beggs Funeral Home, Thomson GA
