Harry Wright

Mr. Harry Murray Wright of Aycock Farm Rd., Lincolnton entered peacefully into rest on Saturday, February 23, 2019 at his residence.  He was 64 years old.

A viewing will be held at Beggs Funeral Home on Tuesday, February 26, 2019 beginning at 6pm and ending at 8pm with a time of remembrance led by his brother, Pastor Al Wright of Waynesboro.

Mr. Wright, son of the late George and Evelyn Wright-Forrest, was born in Lincoln County on November 1, 1954. He grew up in Lincolnton and graduated from Lincoln County High School in 1973.  Mr. Wright spent his entire life working in the trucking industry.  As a young man he entered the logging business, drove for various companies, then later became a long-haul driver for Mercer Transportation.  He drove millions of miles over 30 years with Mercer, exploring the country and making friends at every turn.  Harry was a kind and compassionate man who carried those friendships with him and will be missed by many.

He is survived by his wife, Lynn Dyches-Wright; sons Drew Wright of Denver CO, Alan Wright of Thomson and brother Pastor Al Wright of Waynesboro. He was preceded in death by his sister, Alta Davidson.
