It is with extreme sadness that we announce the passing of a loving father, son, brother, uncle, and friend. Harold Whitney Wallace IV passed away suddenly on Thursday, August 22, 2024, in Anchorage, Alaska, at the young age of 44.

Whitney was born January 7, 1980, in Athens, Georgia to Chip and Nancy Wallace. He grew up in Thomson, graduating from Thomson High School and went on to earn a bachelor's degree of science in management from Georgia Tech. His career took him into the world of finance, and he then went back to school and received his Master's in finance from the University of St Andrews.

Growing up, he was active in his church, sports, band, and the Boy Scouts. He was an exceptional saxophone player throughout middle school and high school, and was also active in the theater program. He was even the lead role in his high school musical, Oklahoma. After high school, he attended Georgia Tech and worked hard to earn a walk-on position on their football team as an offensive tackle. Go yellow jackets!

Whit had many passions in life, ranging from football to bourbon to family. Football was a shared love between him and his father. He was a passionate family man, and would do absolutely anything for his wife and children. Anyone who truly knew Whit knew he had such a big heart. His love for his family and friends and coworkers was fierce and deep, and the drive he had will live on forever for those of us who were lucky enough to be a part of his life.

He was proceeded in death by his father, Harold Whitney Wallace III.

He is survived by his wife of 8 years, Lindsey Wallace, and his two children, Ellie and Quentin. He is also survived by his mother, Nancy, sisters Kimberly (Marc), and Courtney (Matt) and his seven nieces and nephews, Matthew, Wallace, Lila James, Hutch, Palmer, Hally and Kate. He is also survived by his beloved dog, Louie.
