Thomson,  Georgia- Mr. Harold Lamar Smith, 82, entered into rest May 18, 2016 at his residence.

Mr. Smith was born in Calhoun, Georgia to the late Harold Lee Smith and the late Florine Thomas Smith. He served in the U. S. Army. He worked for the Thomson Company and Pillsbury for many years.  Mr. Smith was retired from M. Fine & Sons of Louisville, KY where he was employed as a computer analyst.

Survivors include his son, Scott Smith (Nicole) of Frederick, Maryland; daughters, Robin Dudley (Mike) of Thomson, GA, Karen Smith of Milwaukee, Wisconsin, and Kelly Human of Martinez, GA; a brother, Bernard Smith of Orange Park, FL; seven grandchildren; and five great grandchildren.

Memorial services will be held at 11 o'clock a.m., Wednesday, May 25 th at Thomson First United Methodist Church with Rev. Charles Broome officiating.

The family will receive friends from 10 until 11 a.m., in the church fellowship hall prior to the service.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Children's Hospital of Georgia, 1446 Harper St., Augusta, GA 30912 or to the United Methodist Children's Home, 500 S. Columbia Drive, Decatur, GA 30030.

Beggs Funeral Home, Thomson, Georgia is in charge of arrangements.
