Dr. Harold E. Hook

Thomson, GA- Dr. Harold E. Hook, 84, of Meadowood Drive entered into rest March 26, 2013 at University Hospital-McDuffie.

Graveside services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Friday, March 29, 2013 in Memorial Park Cemetery, Memphis, Tennessee.

Dr. Hook was a native of Memphis, Tennessee and was the son of the late Thurmond Hook and the late Helen Myers Hook. He served in the U. S. Marines during WWII and following the war graduated from Ohio University in Cleveland. Dr. Hook also received a degree in Optometry from Southern College of Optometry. He retired after many years as an Optometrist in Memphis, Tennessee. Dr. Hook loved all animals especially his pet Boxer "Max".

Survivors include his beloved wife of 49 years, Anna Lloyd Hook; daughter, Penny Crawley and husband, Johnny; step daughter, Ann McQuaig and husband, Mike; step son, Lee Powell and wife,  Jeannie; son, Eddie Apperson; and  8 grandchildren.

Beggs Funeral Home, Thomson, Georgia is in charge of arrangements.
