Grady Marion Thomas

Mr. Grady Marion Thomas, 78, of Watson Street, Thomson, Georgia went to his heavenly home on Friday, September 30, 2016.

Born in Marion County, Georgia, he was the son of the late John Marion Thomas and the late Ruby Hudson Thomas. Mr. Thomas proudly served in the United States Navy and retired from Overnight Transportation. He was a member of the Thomson Church of God. In addition to his parents, Mr. Thomas was predeceased by his siblings, Mary Ganus, Jewel McCarty, Iola Barrett, Pauline Salter, Estelle Cato, Myrlie Hale, and J.R. Thomas.

He is survived by his beloved wife of 60 years, Brenda Thomas; son, Rick (Haley) Thomas, and daughters, Pam (Kenneth) Johnson and Cindy Hughes (Gary) Edelmann. "Pa Grady" was so very proud of his grandchildren, Brice (Julie) Hughes, Deana (Matt) Keathley, Blake Hughes, Benjamin (Emily) Johnson, Shelton Thomas and Libby Thomas. The blessings of great grandchildren brought him Elliott Keathley, Rhett Johnson, Grant Keathley, Lydia Keathley and Jade Marian Keathley.

Funeral services will be held at 11 o'clock a.m., Monday, October 3 ^rd in the chapel of Beggs Funeral Home with Rev. Bobby Farmer officiating. Interment will follow at Savannah Valley Memorial Gardens.

It is the family's request that memorial contributions be made to the Thomson Church of God Building Fund, 1354 Wrens Hwy., Thomson, GA 30824.

The family will receive friends from 6 until 8 p.m., Sunday at the funeral home.
