Grady "Buddy" Alfred Kelley, Jr., 80, Dearing, Georgia, entered into eternal rest on Thursday, July 20, 2023.
He was born in Augusta, Georgia on April 17, 1943, and has lived most of his life in McDuffie County in the Dearing area. Buddy retired from Ft. Gordon as the Paint & Body Maintenance Supervisor. He enjoyed golf, fishing, yardwork and just being outdoors and loved spending time with his family and friends.
Buddy was preceded in death by his parents, Grady Alfred Kelley, Sr. and Mary Kelley and his brother, Richard Alan Kelley. His survivors include his wife of 60 years, Claudia Kelley; his sons, Randy Kelley (Linda) and Sean Kelley (Paige); his sister, Barbara Blanton (Ronald); and his grandchildren, Abigayle Kelley, Rose Kelley and Richard Kelley.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, July 23, 2023, from 2:00 p.m. until 3:00 p.m. at Beggs Funeral Home, 799 Cobbham Road, Thomson, Georgia. His Celebration of Life Service will follow at 3:00 p.m. in the Beggs Funeral Home Chapel, Thomson, Georgia, with Rev. Kim Hancock officiating. The Interment will follow in the Dearing United Methodist Cemetery. Pallbearers for the service are Barry Taylor, Bobby Toulson, Andy Rodgers, Mark Rodgers, Steve McGhee, Ryan Reeves, Rusty Reeves and Robert Campbell, and Honorary Pallbearers are Billy Rodgers, Thomas Black, David Vinson, Jerry Sinquefield, Jimmy Jennings, Gary Williams and Rowe Bowen.
