Grace Drake Thomson, Georgia- Mrs. Grace Harris Drake, 94, of Murray Lane entered into rest October 28, 2012. She was the beloved wife of the late William Drake. Funeral services will be held at 3:00 P.M., Tuesday, October 30, 2012 at the Washington Heights Baptist Church with Dr. Joe Wills, Jimmy Berry and Rev. Sonny Peevy officiating. Interment will follow in Savannah Valley Memorial Gardens. Mrs. Drake was a native of Fletcher, NC and was the daughter of the late Frances Harris and the late Della Presley Harris. She lived in Thomson, GA since 1960 and was a faithful and devoted member of Washington Heights Baptist. Survivors include her daughters, Shirley Solesbee, Spartanburg, SC, Evelyn Parham and husband, Ray, Campbello, SC, Judy Hall and husband, Calvin, Grovetown, GA, Wanda Edwards and husband, Doug, Thomson, GA; son, Noble Drake and wife, Irene, Thomson, GA; 25 grandchildren; 48 great grandchildren and 42 great great grandchildren. Mrs. Drake was preceded in death by her husband, William Drake; two sons, Charles Drake and Jessie Franklin Drake; three daughters, Jane Reynolds, Dot Dunaway and JoAnn Drake; two grandchildren, Skip Drake, Diane Garner; great grandchild, Stacey Kitchens and two great great grandchildren, Damion Reynolds and Jacob Price. Memorials may be made to Washington Heights Baptist Church or the American Cancer Society. The family will receive friends from 7 until 9 p.m., Monday at the funeral home. Beggs Funeral Home, Thomson, Georgia is in charge of arrangements.
