Gordon Snellings

Mr. Gordon Snellings of Sunrise Dr., entered into rest on Sat. July 6 ^th, 2013.

Mr. Snellings, a native of Grovetown, grew up in Lincolnton and graduated from Lincolnton High School in 1957 where he lettered in football.

Following high school, he joined the U.S. Navy and  served his country with courage and pride for 6 years. He had been employed at Georgia Pacific  and CSX before retirement. Also, he was a member of the American Legion #194 for over 51 years where he had served as Commander.

Survivors:

Wife: Adelia Buice Snellings

Son: Randal Glenn Snellings, Grovetown

Daughters: Marcha Hall and husband, Tom of Metasville

Marchelle Pope of Harlem

Grandchildren:

Lori Elizabeth Snellings, Kenleigh Nicole Snellings, Hadley Beggs, Madison Hall, Matthew Pope and Gene Hall.

Memorial services will be held on Wed., July 10 ^th at 2 p.m. at American Legion Post #194.

The family will receive friends from 6pm-8pm on Tuesday evening at the funeral home.
