Thomson, GA- Mr. Glenn Scruggs "Peaches" Morgan, 68, of Old Salem Rd. entered into rest November 18, 2013 at University Hospital.

Funeral services will be held at  2:00 p.m., Wednesday, November 20, 2013  at the First Baptist Church with Rev.  David Lambert officiating. Interment will follow in    Westview Cemetery.  Pallbearers will be: James Bridges, Lum Wells, Ralph Starling, Mike Neal, Skeet Reeves and John Richards. Honorary Pallbearers will be members of  the Men's Outreach Sunday School Class.

Peaches as he was affectionately known was a lifelong resident of McDuffie County, Georgia and was the son of the late Wayne N. Morgan, Sr. and the late Beulah Scruggs Morgan. He graduated from Thomson High School in 1963. Upon graduation he began his career at the family's business, Morgan Pontiac where he worked many years and later worked with Johnson Chevrolet, Buick and Cadillac for 37 years. He also served in the U. S. Army National Guard. He was a member of First Baptist Church, Thomson, and a member of the Men's Outreach Sunday School Class. Peaches was devoted to many church activities such as the Handicap Ramp Construction Ministry, Trunk or Treat, Drive Through Nativity and his passion was the Bicycle Ministry that he spent most of his time gathering bicycles to be given out during Christmas.

Survivors include his beloved wife, Kathy Edmunds Morgan of Thomson, GA; daughters, Michele Morgan Carr and husband, Tony, Melissa Morgan Brown all of North Augusta, SC and Lisa Swint Smith and husband, John of Thomson, GA; brothers, Wayne Morgan, Jr. of Beech Island, SC and Gary Morgan of Atlanta, GA and grandchildren, Lyndsey Holt, Ashlee Carr, Preston N. Brown, Ricky Smith and Nicholas Smith. Mr. Morgan was preceded in death by a brother, Donald C. Morgan.

Memorials may be made to the First Baptist Church Special Missions Fund or the First Baptist Church Capital Improvement Fund, P. O. Box 1205, Thomson, GA 30824.

The family will receive friends from 5 until 8 p.m, Tuesday, November 19, 2013 at the funeral home.
