Geraldine "Gerry" Ray Smith Retired Postmaster Norwood, Ga. - Mrs. Geraldine "Gerry" Ray Smith, 86, entered into rest January 15, 2010. She was the beloved wife of the late George Adams Ray and the late Harris Smith. Funeral services will be held Sunday, January 17, 2010 at Norwood United Methodist Church at 1:30 PM with Rev. David Jenkins officiating. Interment will follow in the Norwood Cemetery. Mrs. Smith was a lifelong resident of Warren County. She was the daughter of the late Herman W. McCord and the late Lorena Hyman McCord. Mrs. Smith was retired from the U.S. Post Office in Norwood as Postmaster. She was a member of Norwood United Methodist Church. Survivors include her son, George M. Ray and his wife, Patsy of Fitzgerald, Ga; daughter, Louise Ray Fulcher and her husband, Bobby of Harlem, Ga; brother, Pryce McCord of Norwood, Ga; 3 grandchildren, Rob Fulcher and his wife, Nan, Christy A. Ray and George S. Ray; and 2 great-grandchildren, Colin Fulcher and Graham Fulcher. Memorial contributions may be made to Norwood United Methodist Church, P. O. Box 52, Norwood, Ga, 30821.
