Mrs. Geraldine Clem Morgan Selby, 80, Harlem, Georgia, entered into eternal rest on August 6, 2022.
Geraldine was born in Parksville, South Carolina on January 4, 1942, grew up in McCormick, South Carolina and in her later years moved to the Augusta area and has lived in Harlem for 17 years. She was Baptist by faith and has been a member of Shepherd's Church in Harlem for over 5 years. Mrs. Selby's career was an over the road truck driver and that is how she met her husband. She enjoyed baking and her plants. Geraldine loved her birds and especially loved her friends and family.
Mrs. Selby is preceded in death by her parents, John Thomas Clem and Gertrude Rebecca White Clem; her beloved husband of 16 years, Norman Frances Selby; her son Gerald Richard "Ricky" Morgan; her daughter, Crystal Cannon; her brother, Bobby Clem; her grandchildren, Tony Bellamy and Bobby Dale Hutto, Jr.; and her great grandson, Lane McBroom. Her survivors include her sister, Neenie Heffner; her brother Johnny Clem (Val); her son, Bobby Dale Hutto, Sr. (Susie) of Harlem; her daughters, Angela Slaughter (John) of Harlem, Stacy Reeves Robinson (Danny) of McBean; Nancy Dalby (Ricky) of Texas; her grandchildren, Dakota Dalby, William Dalby, Tara Burgess (Brandon), Speedy Baughman (Brittany), Ricky Baughman, Josh Snead (Stephanie), Renee Page (David), Brandon Wade Hutto, Kayla Reeves (Eric), Justin Reeves; great grandchildren, Cody Blanchard (Kaitlyn), Paige Blanchard, Jordan Page, Brooke Page, Shiannah Hutto, Olivia Kate McBroom, Sydney Baughman, Charlotte Baughman, Ariannah Snead, Ryleigh Snead, Jaycee Snead, Kaylee Snead, Landon Snead, Layla Bellamy; and great great grandchild, Chloe Sophia Davis and numerous nieces and nephews.
Her Memorial Service, being officiated by Chaplain Doyle Windham, will be held on Thursday, August 11, 2022, at 3:00 p.m. at Beggs Funeral Home Chapel, 799 Cobbham Road, Thomson, Georgia with visitation being held at 2:00 p.m., being one hour before the service at Beggs Funeral.
