George W Walls

Mr. George William Walls, 88 of Lewis- Crook Rd., entered into rest on Sunday, March 2nd at Lake Crossing Health Care, Appling. Graveside services will be held Wednesday, March 5th at 4p.m. at Bellevue Memorial Gardens with Rev. Joe Marsh officiating. The family will receive friends from 1pm until 3pm at the funeral home on Wednesday. Mr. Walls,  son of the late George D. and Sally Fields Wall, was born in Arnoldsville. When he joined the U.S. Navy during WWII, his official documents, listed him as Walls, and the military required him to add the "S" to his last name. During his service to his country, he was stationed at Pearl Harbor during the attack on December 7, 1941. Following WWII, he moved to Grovetown and worked at Ft Gordon as an inspector for the civil service and retired in the mid 1980's. He and his wife, Helen  "Nell" Walls moved to Lincolnton about ten years ago. In 2011, his wife, "Nell"  passed away and his daughter, Teresa Kingery, passed away  in January. He was a member of Bethesda Baptist Church , Harlem and he his family said, "He loved fishing, shrimping and tinkering in his shop." In addition to his wife and daughter, he was preceded in death by a grandson, Jamie Daniel Walls. Survivors: Sons: Danny Walls, Grovetown Edmond Walls and wife, Elaine of Grovetown Barry Walls, Grovetown Daughters: Becki Price, Hull, Ga. Melissa Norman and husband, Clarence of Lincolnton Brother: Tommy Wall and wife, Delores of Hephzibah Sisters: Elizabeth Pickelsimer, Evans Adeline Rowley and husband, Bill of Grovetown Grandchildren: Tressa Farmer, Loyal Price, Trena Price, Jason Price, Charlie Wright, Edward Kingery, Johnathan Davis, Tripp Norman, Helen Walls, Tara Walls, Christy Walls, Shonda Fulwood, Heather Walls, and Wade Walls
