George Richards

MR. GEORGE F. RICHARDS 54 of Gilpin Rd. Thomson, GA entered into rest December 03, 2007 at Trinity Hospice. He was the beloved husband of Connie Hobbs Richards. Funeral services will be held at 3:00PM, Wednesday, December 5, 2007 at the First Baptist Church with Dr. James Ramsey officiating. Interment will follow in Westview Cemetery. Pallbearers will be: Greg Ledger, Bobby Watkins, Greg Harden, Barry Callaway, Carroll Hughes, Ron Kelley, Chuck Moye and Pat Barmore. Mr. Richards was a lifelong resident of McDuffie County, GA and was the son of the late Claude Norman Richards, Sr. and the late Eleanor Gunby Richards. He was retired as an electrician. Mr. Richards was a member of First Baptist Church and a member of the Rocky Comfort Bow Hunters Club. Survivors include his wife Connie H. Richards - Thomson, GA Son: Shane Richards and his wife Tamara - Statesboro, GA Daughter: Leslie Richards - Statesboro,GA Brothers: Claude Richards, Jr. and his wife Margie - Berkeley Springs, W.V. John Richards and his wife Sue - Thomson, GA The family will receive friends from 7until 9 PM Tuesday at the funeral home.
