George Marvin Hobbs

George Marvin Hobbs, 94, Thomson, Georgia, entered into eternal rest on February 20, 2022, at his home.

Marvin was born in the Panhandle of Warren County, Georgia on June 19, 1927.  He graduated from Warrenton High School where he played on the football team, was a veteran of the U.S. Army, and was a retired farmer.  He was a member of Sweetwater Baptist Church.

Marvin was preceded in death by his wife of over 49 years, Juanita C. Hobbs; his parents, Homer S. Hobbs and Ethel Huff Hobbs; and his step-mother, Flora Rabun Hobbs.  He is survived by his loving and devoted daughter, L. Dianne Hobbs.

If so desired, remembrances for Mr. Hobbs may be made to the Georgia Sheriffs Youth Homes or Reedy Creek Baptist Church Cemetery Fund.
