George Bonner Davis

Mr. George Bonner Davis, 80 of Metasville Rd., entered into rest on Saturday, January 7, 2017 at Wills Memorial Hospital, Washingotn.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, January 14, 2017 at 2 pm at St. Luke Baptist Church. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 7pm until 8pm on Friday evening at Beggs Funeral Home in Lincolnton.

Mr. Davis, the fourth of five children born to Alex and Eunice Anderson Davis, was a lifelong resident of Lincolnton. He married Mary L. Harmon on November 16, 1957 and from this union, they had one son, George Davis, Jr.

Mr Davis, a member of St. Luke Baptist Church for most of his life,  where he served as a trustee. He retired in 1995 from the logging industry as a heavy equipment operator.

His parents, Alex and Eunice, four siblings, preceded him in death.

He leaves to mourn his passing, his wife, Mrs. Mary L. Harmon Davis; son, George Davis, Jr.; a host of nieces and nephews, cousins. Two special nephews, Alvin Murray and Kenny Thompson who he loved like a son. Special love for Clarence and Beverly Watts.
