Thomson, Georgia- Mr. Gene Lowell Ussery, 77, was face to face with the Lord before sunset on the 19th of August 2016.

Mr. Ussery was born in Jeff Davis County, GA to the late James Albert Ussery and the late Oretta Elkins Ussery. He served in the U. S. Army from 1957 to 1964 during the Cold War. Mr. Ussery worked with National Airlines for many years and retired from Pan American Airlines after 28 years. He lived in Savannah, GA before moving to Thomson in 1993. Mr. Ussery was a member of First Baptist Church, Thomson and Berachah Church of Houston, TX. Survivors include his beloved wife of 50 years, Vicki S. Ussery; son, Brian Ussery (Sally) and grandson, Henry Ussery all of Atlanta, GA.

The family will receive friends from 4 until 6 p.m., Monday at the funeral home.
