Gene Havenstein

Mr. Havenstein, a native of Manhattan, KS., had retired from the U.S. Navy in 1975 after over 22 years of service as a cryptologist. During his career with the U.S. Navy and Tri-South Contractors, he had lived in Summerville, SC and Snellville, Ga. Following his career, he and Connie moved to Savannah Lakes where he spent much time playing golf. Also, he was a member of The Lutheran Church By The Lake. Survivors include: Wife: Constance "Connie" Havenstein Son: Mark Havenstein, Charleston, SC Daughters: Lisa Streuber, Summerville, SC and Sandra Bolanos, Raleigh, NC Stepsons: Jim McAlhaney, Charltotte, NC; and Geoffrey McAlhaney, Summerville, SC Brothers: Don Havenstein, Manhattan, KS, and Gerald Havenstein, Raleigh, NC Sister and sisters-in-law: Janice O'Bryant, Nancy Havenstein and Faye Havenstein, all of Manhattan, KS Grandchildren: Robert D. Steuber, II, and Molly K. McAlhaney
