Gary Thomas Morgan, 70, of Atlanta, Georgia, entered into eternal rest on July 17, 2022.

Gary was a native of Thomson, Georgia and son of the late Wayne Newton Morgan and the late Beulah Scruggs Morgan. Growing up he and his family attended Thomson First United Methodist Church.  He was a 1970 graduate of Thomson High School and a 1974 Finance Graduate of the University of Georgia. Gary started his career in Atlanta at the Magic Pan and retired from Dailey's downtown Atlanta after 30 years of service.  He was currently working with Southern Charm Pet Sitting and had a loyal following of owners and pets alike.  He was an avid Georgia Bulldogs Fan and Atlanta Braves Fan.  Gary's greatest passion was for animals, especially dogs, cats, and horses and the Lenker Family's labrador "Scout".

Gary is preceded in death by his three brothers, Wayne Newton Morgan, Jr., Glenn Scruggs Morgan "Peaches" and Donald Crawford Morgan "Duck".  Survivors include his nieces and nephews, Michele Morgan Carr, Melissa Morgan Speering (Keith) all of North Augusta, SC, Lisa Swint Smith (John) of Thomson, GA, April Morgan Matthews (Danny) of Thomson, GA, Richard Morgan (Jennifer) of Augusta, GA, Wayne Morgan, III of Evans, GA; sisters-in-law, Kathy Morgan of Thomson, GA and Linda Morgan of Beech Island, SC; cousins, Cheryl Morris Lenker (Max) and Merrilee Morris both of Inlet Beach, FL, and Minka Morris Davis (Lamar) of Chamblee, GA and numerous great nieces and nephews.

A graveside service will be held at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, July 23, 2022, at Westview Cemetery with Dr. David Lambert officiating.

The family request that memorial contributions be made to your local Humane Society or Animal Shelter.
