Mr. Fred Dallas Hanks, five days from being 81, entered into eternal bliss, with our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ on Saturday, Jan 23rd, 2021.
Mr. Hanks, son of the late James Franklin Hanks and Mary E. Cherry-Hanks was born on January 28th, 1940, in Cairo, GA. He learned early on that he had a knack for fixing things, such as jukeboxes. He later went on to receive his certification in repairing appliances. He became well known as the "TV Repair man" for Lincolnton and Thomson, Ga.
Mr. Hanks enjoyed fishing, and nature walks after retirement. Though faced with many hardships throughout his life, he maintained a sunny and loving disposition. Mr. Hanks taught his family the true meaning of resilience by his actions.
Mr. Fred Hanks is now reunited in Heaven with his beloved wife, Mrs. Vivian D. Hanks.
Survivors include his son, Freddy Randall Hanks; daughter, Miranda Renee Christensen and son in law, Lee T. Christensen; his grandchildren Alexander Christian Hanks, Peggy Elizabeth Hanks-Marotta, and Amber-Kylie Ganger; great-grandchildren Anthony John Marotta III, and Olivia Rose Marotta; brother, James Ray Hanks and sister, Betty June Strickland.
