Norwood, GA- Mrs. Frankie Wilkerson Benson, 70, of Old Greensboro Rd. entered into rest March 22, 2014.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, March 25, 2014 in the chapel of Beggs Funeral Home, Thomson with Rev. Tommy Harwell officiating. Interment will follow in the Benson Family Cemetery, Norwood.
Mrs. Benson was born in Glascock County, GA and was the daughter of the late Clinton Wilkerson and the late Mattie Bland Wilkerson. She worked for many years at Garner's Red & White, Warrenton and later retired after working with BI-LO, Thomson as the Deli Manager. Mrs. Benson was a Baptist.
Survivors include her beloved husband, Arthur Benson; sons, Freeman Benson, Wayne Benson (Theresa Kaney); daughter, Mattie Cogburn (John, Sr.); brother, Ernest "Doc" Wilkerson; sisters, Nealie Chalker and Beverly Reese and grandchildren, Holly Benson, Anthony Benson, Bethany Benson, Megan Benson, Benjamin Benson, John Cogburn, Jr. and Savanna Kaney.
The family will receive friends from 6 until 8 p.m, Monday, March 24, 2014 at the funeral home.
Beggs Funeral Home, Thomson, GA is in charge of arrangements.
