Frank Lloyd Jones

WARRENTON, GA

Frank Lloyd Jones, age 68, passed away peacefully in his sleep at his home on Sunday, June 4, 2023.

Frank was born to Mary Belle Densmore and William Carl Jones in Clarkesville, GA, on October 26, 1954, and married the former Judy Beck on August 17, 1979.  He attended Thomson High School, was a member of Thomson First Baptist Church, was a member of the Moose Lodge No 477, in Thomson,  and a former member of the Carpenters Local 183, Augusta. For the last 20+ years, Frank has driven for Williams Brothers Trucking Company, Hazelhurst, GA.

Frank was preceded in death by his parents, two sisters, Sarah Jones and Frances Goethe; three brothers, Clarence Churchwell, Carl Jones, and Hoke Jones; brothers-in law, Richard and Thomas Beck, Jack Darrell Brown, and Charles Edwin Madden; his sister-in-law, Frances G. Jones and his son-in-law Dewayne Poss.

Survivors who will cherish Frank's memory and miss his never-ending stories and unique sense of humor are his devoted wife of 44 years, Judy; his son, Dennis (Natalie Lloyd) Hixenbaugh; his daughter, Tawnie Poss; his brother, James T. (Joyce) Jones, Sr.; his sisters, Mary Jones Brown, and Betty Jones Madden; his sisters-in-law, Mary & Janet Beck; his brother-in-law, Bob Goethe; his grandchildren, Melissa (Denise) Grysboskie, Austin (Erica) James Hixenbaugh, Jacob Kyle Hixenbaugh and Briannia (Larry) Elizabeth Leopard; seven great-grandchildren; many beloved nieces and nephews and his special furbaby "Gracie Ann".

Pallbearers will be Russell Bohler, Ben Byrd, Austin Hixenbaugh, Jacob Hixenbaugh, Jaye Jones, Daniel Krattli, Jimmy Lawrence, Larry Leopard, Randy Pearson, and Ronnie Wolfe.

Visitation for Frank will be Tuesday, June 6, 2023, at Beggs Funeral Home, 799  Cobbham Road, Thomson, GA 706-595-4100, from 7:00 p.m. – 9:00 p.m..  Celebration of Life services will be in the Chapel of Beggs Funeral Home on Wednesday, June 7, 2023, at 2:00 p.m. with Reverend Timothy Adams officiating.  Don and Shelley McGee will be providing musical accompaniment.  The Interment will follow at Westview Cemetery, 513 Westview Dr, Thomson, GA 30824.
