Frances Virgina Whitaker Boneville, GA. - Mrs. Frances Virginia Whitaker, 80, died November 17, 2011. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, November 19, 2011 in the Beggs Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Allen Holbrook and Rev. Todd Cook officiating. Interment will follow in the Boneville United Methodist Church Cemetery. Pallbearers will be: Shane Chalker, Kevin Chalker, Daniel Milburn, Matt Milburn, Clint Fain, Tony Holloway, David Smith and Scott Cavnor. Mrs. Whitaker was a lifelong resident of McDuffie County and the daughter of the late Robert Lee Radford and the late Linnie Phillips Radford. She was a homemaker and a member of New Hope Baptist Church. Survivors include her husband, Claude "Pete" Whitaker of Boneville, son, Ken Gilmer and wife, Jennifer of Thomson; daughters, Diane Chalker and husband, Joey of Thomson, Bobbie Jean Shelnutt and husband, Roger of Columbia, SC, Etta Ruth Cook of Thomson; eight grandchildren, Shane Chalker, Kevin Chalker, Daniel Milburn, Matt Milburn, Trey Shelnutt, Derek Shelnutt, Brooke Prichard and Erica Cook and six great grandchildren. The family will receive friends from 6 until 8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
