FRANCES CROSBY MRS.FRANCES SNELLINGS CROSBY 77 of Culpepper St. , Dearing, GA entered into rest September 03, 2009 at Doctors Hospital. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM, Saturday, September 5, 2009 at Pine Grove Baptist Church with Revs. C. E. "Butch" Baston and Steve Stokes officiating. Interment will follow in Savannah Valley Memorial Gardens. Pallbearers will be: Charlie Tudor, Roy Russell, Henry Fluker, Ronnie Pilgrim, Tommy Crafton, Jimmy Williams and Larry Kent. Honorary pallbearers will be active and inactive Deacons of Pine Grove Baptist. Mrs. Crosby was born in Columbia County, Georgia but has lived in McDuffie County most of her life. She was the daughter of the late Johnie Robert Snellings and the late Nellie Alline Morris Snellings. Mrs. Crosby was retired from food service with the McDuffie County Board of Education with over 30 years of service. She was also a member of Pine Grove Baptist Church. Mrs. Crosby was preceded in death by her husband, Harold Crosby and her son, Bobby H. Crosby. Survivors include her daughter-in-law, Sheila J. Crosby of Evans; grandchildren, Michael Crosby and his fiance' Jennifer of Thomson, Alecia Shaw of Thomson and Tiffany Guthrie of Evans; great-grandchildren, Mikayla Mitchell, Taylor Shaw and Kaleigh Crosby; sisters, Lessie Whitaker and Ruby Cliatt both of Grovetown and special friends George Tudor and his daughter and her husband, Joyce and James King.
