Floyd P. Williams Thomson, GA. - Mr. Floyd P. Williams, 82 of Gordon Street entered into rest April 8, 2011 at his residence. He was the beloved husband of Edna Crawley Williams. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Sunday, April 10, 2011 from the Beggs Funeral Home Chapel with Revs. Tim Ferrell, Danny McClure and Alex Williams officiating. Interment will follow in the Williams Creek Baptist Cemetery, Norwood, GA. Pallbearers will be Joe Adams, Harold Adams, Andy Cannon, Robert Williams, Chris Wallace and Dennis Robinson. Mr. Williams was a native of Rockdale County, GA and lived in Warren and McDuffie Counties since 1993. He was the son of the late Willis E. Williams, Sr. and the late Mary Lou Blake Williams. Mr. Williams was a retired construction foreman for ABCO Builders in Lithonia after 34 years of service. He was a member of Williams Creek Baptist Church in Norwood where he served as chairman of the Deacons. He also attended Bethel Baptist Church in Thomson. Mr. Williams had a great passion for hunting and fishing. Survivors include his wife, Edna Crawley Williams, Thomson, GA; children, Preston A. Williams and his wife, Karen of Norwood, GA, Elisa Smith and her husband, Sidney of Thomson, GA, James Crawley and his wife, Lynn of Thomson, GA; brother, James Williams of Florida; sisters, Betty Harper of Conyers, GA and Frances Nichols of Norwood, GA; grandchildren, P. Alexander Williams, II and wife, Donna and Jennifer Skvarca; five great grandchildren and one great great grandchild. If so desired memorials may be made to Bethel Baptist Building Fund, P.O.
