On February 2, 2010, God sent his angels to Wills Memorial Hospital to carry Floy Danner Crook, age 93, to Heaven to reign with Him forever. Floy was born in Lincoln County on June 15, 1916 to the late Maggie Reviere Danner and William Noah Danner, where she has been a resident all her life. She was a retired seamstress and a member of Hephzibah Baptist Church where she faithfully served her God and her Church. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Barney Crook; a brother, Bernard Danner; a sister, Alma Peeler; a grandson Mitchell Crook; and a great-grandson, Blake Wellmaker,. Survivors include two children, Frances Whitworth and husband, Raymond and Albert Crook and wife Carolyn, both of Lincolnton. Grandchildren include Patricia Clark and husband, Daniel; Kenneth Wellmaker and wife Melanie, and Ricky Crook and wife, Beth. Great- Granchildren include Michele Covington and husband, Keith; Michael White and wife Elizabeth; Jacob Hutto, Magen Wellmaker, Matthew Crook anad Thomas Crook. Great- Great- Grandchildren include Dylan White, Jordon Hutto and Kaelyn Covington. Floy was a friend to everyone and was willing to do whatever necessary to witness her faith in God. She will be greatly missed by her family as well as a host of friends and other relatives, but Heaven now has another Wonder Happy Angel. The family will be at the home of Frances and Raymond Whitworth's at 2332 Loco Church Road in Lincolnton. Funeral services will be held at Hephzibah Baptist Church at 11 AM on Thursday, February 4, 2010. Intermet will follow in the church cemetery.
