Faye (Lazenby) Dye

Mrs. Faye Lazenby Dye, 74, of Wrightsboro Rd., Thomson, GA went to be with Our Lord and Savior on December 15, 2023.

Faye was born on February 20, 1949 to the late Beal Lazenby, Jr.  and the late Irene Duckworth Lazenby. She lived most of her life in McDuffie County. Faye was a hairdresser and owned and operated her own business for many years. She retired as manager of Smart Styles Hair Salon with Walmart. Faye enjoyed horseback riding, Facebook, cooking and loved attending Gospel Sings. She was a member of Union Baptist Church. In addition to her parents, Faye was preceded in death by her brother, Judson Lazenby and granddaughter, Alissa Tobin.

Survivors include her husband of 50 years, Allen Dye; son, Jason Hawkins (Stacy); daughter, Lisa Buckner; stepdaughter, Ashley Dye; sister, Dianne Marsh; grandchildren, Justin Chalker (Shandi), Karrie Chalker, Jud Hawkins (Morgan), and Blaine Hawkins; great grandchildren, Austin Myers, Caden Myers, Greyson Chalker, Nathaniel Chalker, Heidi Tobin, Nathan Tobin, Savannah Tobin, Cyrus Vickers, and Kannan Quarles.

A memorial service will be held at 3pm, Wednesday, December 20th in the chapel of Beggs Funeral Home with Rev. Phil Pilgrim officiating. The family will receive friends from 2 until 3 pm at the funeral home prior to the service.

It is the family's request that memorial contributions be made to the American Cancer Society.
