Thomson, GA- Mrs. Fay Jeanette Smith, 78, of Michael Street entered into rest May 17, 2015.

Mrs. Smith was born in Augusta, GA and was the daughter of the late Charles Edward Parrish and the late Bertha Lou Blackburn Parrish. She was a homemaker. Mrs. Smith was a member of Sweetwater Baptist Church and a member of the Dorcas Sunday School Class.

Survivors include her beloved husband, James Walker Smith, Sr.; son, Jeff Smith and wife, Debbie of Elberton, daughter, Dani McDaniel and husband, Tracy of Appling; daughter-in-law, Marsha P. Smith of Thomson; sister, Bertha Lou Jones of Thomson; 10 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Smith was preceded in death by a son, James Walker "Jim" Smith, Jr.

Funeral services will be held at 2 o'clock, p. m., Wednesday, May 20, 2015 at Sweetwater Baptist Church with Tracy McDaniel officiating. Interment will follow in Savannah Valley Memorial Gardens.

The family will receive friends from 6 until 8 p.m., Tuesday at the funeral home.
