He was a member of Bethany United Methodist Church, and retired from Mayfair Mills. He was preceded in death by his brothers, John Saggus, Ray Saggus, Jack Saggus, and sisters, Evelyn Saggus and Mary Sisson. He is survived by his wife, Faye Jackson Saggus Daughters: Deborah S. Crook, and husband, Jack of Lincolnton Jennifer S. Rentz, and husband, Paul of Surfside Beach,SC Brother: Bobby Saggus, Lincolnton Sisters: Virginia Aycock, Lincolnton, Pat Phillips, Columbus, Ga Sadie Pearson, Appling Five Grandchildren: Hannah Crook, Savannah Crook, Annah Crook, Alyssa Rentz and C.J. Rentz
