Everett Michael Sanders,

Mr. Everett Michael "Mickey" Sanders, Sr., 70 of Double Branches Rd. died Wed., Jan. 20, 2010 at his residence. Graveside services with full military honors will be held Friday, Jan. 22, 2010 at 2 p.m. at Double Branches Baptist Church Cemetery with Rev. Addison Belangia officiating. Mr. Sanders, a native of Augusta, had retired from the U.S. Navy after 20 years during which time he served in Vietnam War. Afterwards, he worked for the Columbia County Sheriff's Dept. as a road deputy, and later as a records lieutenant. He then worked for the City of Lincolnton and was later appointed as the Chief of Police. Later he worked with the Lincoln County Sheriff's Dept. until being diagnosed with cancer in 2004. His family includes: Wife: Brenda Holloway Sanders Daughter: Amy D. Seymour and husband, Roby of Lincolnton Sons: Marc Danner, Lincolnton, Ga. Michael Sanders, and wife, Denise Campbell, California Sisters: Gail Kahn, and husband, Don, Lincolnton Marian Sanders, Charleston, SC Brothers: David Sanders, Waynesboro, Ga Ken Sanders, and wife, Pat, Stone Mountain, Ga.
