Evelyn VanFossen Wyatt, 76, of Thomson, Georgia, entered into eternal rest on Tuesday, May 23, 2023.  She is preceded in death by her beloved husband of 46 years, Leon Wyatt, as well as her parents, Frank Lawrence VanFossen and Bettie Marjorie Ray VanFossen.

Born in Molane, Washington on September 6, 1946, Evelyn traveled throughout the United States, Germany, and Paris before making her home in Georgia in 1969.  She enjoyed gardening, fishing, cooking meals for her family, baking with her grandchildren, crocheting, and visiting with her best friend, Mrs. Louise Bohler. She was the bookkeeper and secretary for Wyatt Construction for 38 years.

Evelyn is survived by her sons Wayne Erkens (Angela) and David Wyatt (Ashley) of Thomson, Georgia; her daughter Susan Auckland (Jack) of Athens, Georgia; her brother Frankie VanFossen; her sister Babe VanFossen; her grandchildren Keegan Williams, Kendall Erkens, Joshua Auckland, Benjamin Auckland, Cristina Auckland, Carter Wyatt, and Katie Wyatt; and her great grandchildren Nathan Rowe, A.J. Williams, and Cameron Williams.

The family requests that casual attire be worn to her Celebration of Life service Friday, May 26, 2023, at 3:00 p.m. in the Beggs Funeral Home Chapel, 799 Cobbham Road, Thomson, Georgia with Rev.
