Evelyn Rabun Richards, 91, Thomson, Georgia, entered into eternal rest on June 19, 2024.

She was born in Dearing, Georgia on November 5, 1932, grew up and lived all her life in McDuffie County and graduated from Dearing High School.  She was Christian by faith, a member of First Baptist Church Thomson and was a volunteer at the McDuffie Hospital.  Evelyn enjoyed working with her flowers in the yard, cooking for her family and shopping, loved spending time with her family and friends and her biggest priority was attending Sunday School and Church on Sunday.

Evelyn is preceded in death by her parents, Chesley A. Rabun and Mae Luckey Rabun; her son, Davey Glenn James; her brother, C. A. Rabun, Jr. and her sister, Bobbie Gearns.  Her survivors include her husband of 39 years, Ken Lee Richards; her daughters, Jackie Johnson (Blaine) and Terri King (Fiancé Kevin Rawlinson); her grandchildren, Nick Hubert (Tammy), Dylan Johnson, great granddaughter, Reagan Hubert; her stepdaughters, Janet Breese and Tammie Mulder and other extended family.

Her Visitation will be held on Friday, June 21, 2024, from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Beggs Funeral Home, 799 Cobbham Road, Thomson, Georgia 30824, and her Funeral Service, being officiated by Dr. David Lambert, will be held on Saturday, June 22, 2024, at 11:00 a.m. in the Beggs Funeral Home Chapel with the interment following at Savannah Valley Memorial Gardens.  Pallbearers for the services are Thomas Shelton, Dylan Johnson, Nick Hubert, Chevy Butler, Bob Luckey and Joe Gay.  Please visit www.beggsfuneralhome.net to sign the family's personal guestbook.
