Evelyn Paradise Holloway

Mrs. Evelyn Paradise Holloway, daughter of the late Albert and Lizzie Dozier Paradise, born on November 10, 1922, passed away peacefully at Lake Crossing Health Center on Tuesday, June 3, 2014.

Wife of the late Clarence Holloway, Evelyn lived the majority of her life in Lincolnton, Georgia.

Known for her outstanding cooking, house and yard keeping, she was also a seamstress for many years and a member of Martin's Crossroads Congregational Holiness Church. As Alzheimer's stole more and more of her memory, she was still filled with her sweet disposition and keen wit.

She is survived by her two daughters, Hazel Snellings and husband, Billy of Appling, and Ann McGill of Snellville; sister, Annie Jane Chastain, and brother, Albert Paradise; granddaughters; Joy Newman and husband, Roy, and Shannon McGill; four great- grandchildren, Brandon Baldwin and wife, Aliya, Brooke Hinton, Jordon Newman and wife, Megan, Heather Newman, and five great-great  grandchildren, Wesley and Aaron Hinton, Courtlyn and Brantley Baldwin, and Kaylee Newman.

Preceding her in death were infant son, Clarence Jr., brother, Thomas Paradise, sister, Joyce Fortson, granddaughter, Lynne Hawkins, and great- great grandson, Colton Baldwin.

The family would like to thank the staff and caretakers of Lake Crossing Health Center for their years of care for Evelyn.  "Sweet rest dear mama, you've earned it."

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Alzheimer's Association of Georgia, 41 Perimeter Center East, suite 550, Atlanta, Ga. 30346.

Graveside services will be held Thursday, June 5 ^th at 2 p.m. at Martin's Crossroads Congregational Holiness Church with Rev. James James officiating.

The family will greet friends in the church immediately following the service.
