Esther Bodie

August 9, 1932 - May 24, 2008 Mrs. Esther Butler Bodie, 75 of Plum Branch, SC, died Sat. May 24, 2008 at University Hospital, Augusta. Mrs. Bodie, daughter of the late Lemuel M. and Inez Albea Butler, was born in Wilkes County on August 9, 1932. She had been a resident of Plum Branch for 59 years, a member of St Paul United Methodist Church, Plum Branch and a retired business owner. She was preceded in death by her husband, William Robert "Billy" Bodie, sister, Emogene Huguley, and brothers, Harold Albea Butler, Gerald "Pete" Butler, and H.M. Butler. Survivors: Daughters: Debra Helwig and husband, Wayne of Statesboro; Suzan Hogan and husband, Joe; Gay White, and husband Robert; and Jan Bodie all of Lincolnton Sisters: Kathryn Dill, and Audrey Butler, Rotonda West, Fl. And brother, Tom Butler, all of Rotonda Beach, Fl. Grandchildren: Will Bodie and wife Lauren, Sara Helwig, Joseph Hogan, Billy Beck Hogan, Matthew Helwig, C.J. White, Mandy Pruitt, and Austin Pruitt
